Our Story
Khartes Diaries by Iris Image Studio began in 2015 as Iris Photography Academy – a dream to teach photography with heart and passion. Founded by Jatinder Kamboj, what started as a small academy in Patiala has grown into Punjab’s most trusted name for cinematic weddings, pre-weddings, maternity, newborn, and family photography.
With over 12 years of experience, Jatinder – Visiting Lecturer (Photography Diploma) at Panjab University USOL, Chandigarh, and Nikon India Mentor – brings cinematic vision to every frame. Deepa Kamboj, our celebrity stylist and creative director, adds signature styling magic – from maternity gowns to newborn wraps and bridal looks.
Together, we’ve captured memories for 500+ families, shot 200+ weddings, and trained hundreds of photographers through our ISO-certified school. From budget-friendly studio shoots at studio.khartes.in to luxury cinematic films – we believe every story deserves to be told beautifully.

Our Journey Through the Years
- 2015 – The Beginning Founded Iris Photography Academy in Patiala – starting the journey to teach photography with passion and excellence.
- 2017 – ISO Certification Achieved Earned ISO certification for Iris Photography Academy – ensuring world-class standards in photography education from the very beginning.
- 2019 – Entered Commercial Photography Launched Iris Image Studio with cinematic weddings and pre-weddings – co-founded by Jatinder & Deepa Kamboj, bringing premium storytelling to Punjab families.
- 2020-2021 – Challenges & Resilience Faced Covid-19 disruptions and temporarily paused operations – but used the time to refine skills and plan the next chapter.
- 2022 – Full-Time Maternity & Newborn Focus Restarted with renewed energy, specializing in maternity and newborn photography – initially at 58 Majithia Enclave, later moving to our current home at Preeti Villa, 522 SST Nagar, Patiala.
- 2025 – Rebranded to Khartes Diaries Evolved into Khartes Diaries – a premium brand combining cinematic services, budget studio shoots (studio.khartes.in), and our renowned photography school. Apple Business Connect approved, serving 500+ families with timeless memories.
- Today – Growing Stronger Captured memories for hundreds of families, trained aspiring photographers, and built a legacy of "Tiny Frames, Forever Memories" – with lifetime mentorship and heartfelt service.
